Evedo Updates — Cancelled Events Due To Coronavirus

The Event Industry, A Victim Of The Coronavirus

A week ago we wrote an article on how the coronavirus outbreak affects the event industry. We were one of the first to ask the question. And then it was just a question “Is the event industry a victim?”. Unfortunately today we have the answer and this is now officially a statement. It is. The virus hit the industry and it hit hard. A lot of governments have already made restrictions on all cultural events and many more keep on adding themselves to the list all day today.

Unfortunately, it is what it is. We will aim to keep you up to date on every event affected by the coronavirus here on our social media. Last week we gave you some of the event’s that were already cancelled. This week we give you a list of the affected events, which we will update frequently. You may use it as a tool to find out if an event you have tickets for is cancelled or postponed. Just look for your event below.

It is shocking to witness the speed at which our daily lives will change. We, as a ticketing company realize this very well. So what do we do in times of change? We once again chose not to panic. What we choose to focus on is the fact that the most adaptive always survive and we are nothing if not adaptive. We keep our spirits up, always looking for a shift, always striving to evolve in everything we do.
Why do we say this? Maybe some of you have already seen our roadmap for 2020 or you’ve been with us since the beginning and you have an idea of what we’re all about. We have put a lot of work to introduce and integrate blockchain in all we do. It has been and still is a long process and times like these are yet another proof of how important this is. A simple “don’t panic” is not always enough and we’ve witnessed many cases where blockchain could’ve been the solution. By integrating crypto in our ticketing platform we aim to prevent situations like the ones happening right now. A lot of event companies are suffering great loses when cancelling their events. Cancellation fees can harm both the organizer and the attendee. With blockchain and smart contracts, none of this will be an issue. Stay with us, the future is now and we’re about to prove it.
