The World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos-Klosters brought together 3,000 of the world’s top leaders in collaborative activities to shape the global, regional and industry agendas at the beginning of each year. The conference aims to give concrete meaning to “stakeholder capitalism” and to assist governments and international institutions in tracking progress towards the Paris Agreement and the Sustainable Development Goals.
As you already know, our team was also there. Since we got back, a lot of things happened for Evedo, some of which you already know, and some of which we will announce soon. In the meantime, we finally found the time to sit down and tell you about what went down during the week we spent in Davos.
We worked alongside 6Wave who did a few events in Davos during WEF. That week we helped to organize 4 private panel discussions, we worked on two big events: one at the piano bar in Hotel Europe and one at the most emblematic venues for high-end events — Hotel Seehof. We put our organizational skills to work and presented a live demo of what Evedo is best at and what we do. Our team provided equipment, promoters, staff, and a DJ through our platform.
The result is brilliant! We raized a lot of awareness, we did some high-end networking, gathered a lot of contacts and even some new partnerships might be announced soon.
DJ Mati also attended World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2020 last week, where he performed on a few of the evening events. So we sat down and had a little chat. Here’s what he had to say:
Evedo: Tell us about your experience attending @World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2020
DJ Matti: For a long time, I couldn’t truly understand it when people said “Davos is Davos you just have to experience it” until I got to experience it myself and met all these amazing people, great minds and personalities. For me as a DJ it was eye-opening. Being around so many successful people whose only purpose is to make the world a better place is contagious. Every day I learned something new about things that surround me and I haven’t even noticed their influence on myself. This is networking on steroids. I agree the Davos experience cannot be described with words. Being able to live with such people and share your daily routines with them is incomparable to anything else.
Evedo: Can you share a bit about working with our platform?
DJ Matti: I have to mention the fact that for an artist having a platform which not only gives you yet another opportunity to be booked but also makes it possible for each small detail to be made clear beforehand is exactly what this industry has been lacking for such a long time. I believe this is an innovation that will change the face of the entertainment industry globally — knowing you have a platform that has your back and also everyone else’s, the event organizer, the promoter, etc. I had easy access to every aspect from arranging my free time to renting audio interfaces, which for a touring DJ is an absolute must. I am grateful to Evedo, for their platform giving me the chance to be a part of WEF 2020 in Davos.
